Skippy is an ICP-native, voice-driven AI assistant — proof, not just a claim, that agentic AI can run as a real smart contract on the Internet Computer rather than a conventional cloud backend with a blockchain veneer. It's also the clearest demonstration of the engineering standard behind everything else Bad Marine LLC builds.

What it's built on

A genuine production deployment, not a demo:

Rust backend canister + a separate assets frontend canister, deployed on Internet Computer mainnet.
Internet Identity authentication — passkey-based login, no passwords.
Multi-model LLM orchestration with automatic failover — reliability engineered in, not bolted on.
Durable, on-chain stable memory storage that survives canister upgrades — conversation history and knowledge persist the way a real production system should, not a demo that resets.
A RAG knowledge pipeline, originally built around crash-reporting reference material like MMUCC and ANSI D.16 — the same domain the rest of Bad Marine LLC's tools work in. The pipeline itself is domain-general, not hardcoded to crash data; that was simply the first real library loaded into it.

Why it matters here

Skippy isn't a product Bad Marine LLC is selling directly — it's the proving ground. Building and operating a real, persistent, mainnet AI application on the Internet Computer is a genuinely different engineering problem than deploying a chatbot on conventional cloud infrastructure.
